Mirror, Mirror on the wall…

Ever wish you had a mirror that could tell you everything you need to know? Well, that dream may not be too far off. The New York Times Company’s R&D Lab (they have an R&D lab?) is developing a mirror that can identify you and respond to voice commands. Using a Kinect bar and a webcam, the mirror can identify a user and products you place in front of it. Pretty cool.

I’ve been hearing about these magical mirrors for years, and yet they’re still always “a few years away,” which is a bit disappointing. While we wait, check out the two videos from the Lab:
