Some funny photos & other miscellaneous stuff

I recently found this awesome site called Future Timeline: http://www.futuretimeline.net. Here’s the site’s description:

Welcome to the future! Here you will find a speculative timeline of future history. Part fact and part fiction, the timeline is based on detailed research that includes analysis of current trends, projected long-term environmental changes, known advances in computing such as Moore’s Law, the latest scientific advances, and the evolving geopolitical landscape. Where possible, references have been provided to support the predictions. FutureTimeline.net is intended to be an ongoing, collaborative project that is open for discussion – we welcome ideas from scientists, futurists, inventors, writers and anyone else interested in the future of our world.

Then there’s this homework problem for some nuclear engineering course at UCD: http://nuclear.ucdavis.edu/~tgutierr/files/sml2.pdf. I look at this and my gloss over. Can’t say that I understand much of it.

Lastly, here’s a few photos from friends and the web that I’ve found funny recently:

Aston Martin’s new Virage

Just a quick post to mention Aston Martin’s new car, the Virage. I saw it mentioned on Top Gear (UK version [the best version]), and I decided to check it out. Aston Martin only announced it last month (it’s a revival of an older model, though), and it’s quite a beautiful car. The Virage will have a 6.0-liter V12 engine, and a top speed is 186mph, with 0-62mph acceleration in 4.6 seconds. If only I could afford it.

Slideshow & Gallery of some random pictures I found of it from around the internet.
